Simply CRM offers a set of default fields. You can add new custom fields, re-arrange fields, edit field properties, and move fields inside and across blocks.

Creating Custom Fields


You can add custom fields in any module to personalize your Simply CRM.

Follow few simple steps to add custom fields

  1. Click Setting.png icon at the top right.
  2. Select CRM Settings
  3. Under Studio select Edit Fields on the sidebar at the left.
  4. You’ll be navigated to Layout Editor.

Click on Add Custom Field button on the respective block where you would like to start creating new fields.

Text To add text
  • Label: Provide field name
  • Length: Provide field size
  • Maximum Characters: 255
Decimal To add decimals
  • Label: Provide field name
  • Length: Provide field size
  • Decimal: Provide number of decimal places
  • Maximum Characters: 59
Integer To add integers
  • Label: Provide field name
  • Length: Provide field size
  • Maximum Characters: 255
Percent To add percentage
  • Label: Provide field name
Currency To add currency values
  • Label: Provide field name
  • Length: Provide field size
  • Maximum Characters: 255
Email To add email address
  • Label: Provide field name
Phone To add Phone number

Pick List To add picklist fields
  • Label: Provide field name

Check-Box Enable check-box for true. Disable for false

Re-arranging fields


You can shuffle fields within a block by just dragging and dropping the respective row field to the desired place.

You can also move the fields across blocks by dragging the row field to the desired block.

Editing Field Properties


You can change few properties of a field by clicking on Edit icon provided for each field

Steps to edit fields

  1. Click PencilIcon.png icon at the right when you hover on the desired row field.
  2. Check or uncheck on the properties that you would like for the field.
  3. Hit Save button to save your changes.

Field Property Functionality
Mandatory field To make the field mandatory for the Users to fill in
Active To enable or hide the field for all users
Quick Create To make the field available during the Quick Create
Mass Edit To make the field available during mass edit
Default Value To set default value for the field

Note!
Some checkboxes are disabled in some fields because their properties cannot be edited (which otherwise can lead to inconsistency in the CRM)

Deleting Fields


If custom fields created by you do not meet your requirements, you can delete them permanently.

Click Trash.png icon when you hover on the desired custom field. You will get an alert box to confirm if you would like to delete the field. Hit Yes to delete.
